Internship Title: Translating for the Community Project

The intern will collaborate with faculty from the Spanish Program on the translation of documents from English into Spanish. The documents to be translated are used by different UC Merced centers and offices to inform students and their families about campus services and are submitted for translation to the UC Merced Language Accessibility Committee. By participating on this project, the intern will develop some of the skills expected of professional translators, as well as learn some challenges of the translation process and how to solve them.
