UC Merced has partnered with Global Mentorship Initiative (GMI) to offer a special career development opportunity for students who are about to graduate or have recently graduated. Through this partnership, you will be matched with a mentor who will help you prepare for your first job after graduation. Attend this session to learn more!  GMI is a global non-profit organization that provides career-readiness mentorship to students around the world. The mentorship consists of 12 guided online sessions with your mentor. During the mentorship, they will help you:· Write a compelling resume or CV that attracts recruiters and hiring managers· Use AI to help with your job search· Master job interviews with confidence· Create a career plan and set achievable goals· Establish a professional online presence and network with LinkedIn· Develop important communication skills for today’s global business environment· Learn how companies evaluate their employees and how to distinguish yourself in the workplace GMI mentors are experienced professionals and leaders in their areas of expertise. They understand what skills make a difference for early career professionals and they are passionate about helping the next generation succeed.
