California high-speed rail will connect the megaregions of the state, contribute to economic development and a cleaner environment, create jobs and preserve agricultural and protected lands. With construction underway, and the transition of the California High-Speed Rail Authority from planning to a project development organization, the economic benefit of these activities is substantially growing every year.
