Community-Engaged Research (CEnR) joins the campus and community to address societal
concerns better than either can do alone. CEnR benefits our campus and community through
partnerships and projects for training, implementing, disseminating, and applying research. UC
Merced is nationally classified as a Community Engaged Institution. SSI will work with campus and
community leaders to advance a CEnR networking database to help students, faculty, staff, and
community members collaborate on CEnR projects. The intern will grow skills in research,
partnerships and networking, online and social media skills, and communication with professional
and lay audiences.
